About The Position

The Forklift Operator uses equipment such as forklifts, conveyors, cranes, handcarts, and power trucks to move materials, parts, assemblies, and finished products within a plant, office, or warehouse. The role may include maintaining records. It involves performing routine tasks with prescribed steps, following clearly defined standard operating procedures or scientific methods, and adhering to quality guidelines. Work is performed under general to limited supervision.

The position is located in Covington, Georgia. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., with a pay rate of $17.50 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least 1 year of cycle-counting experience or related experience and/or training.
• Basic skills training in an analytical/scientific method or operational process area, such as material handling and management, logistics, or manufacturing production.
• Effective communication skills sufficient to communicate with coworkers and the Team Lead/Supervisor.
• Ability to read, write, interpret, and comprehend documents in English and perform basic math calculations.
• Ability to work in a metrics-driven environment.
• General computer skills.
• Ability to meet the stated physical demands, including lifting and/or moving over 50 pounds.

Responsibilities
