About The Position

Forklift Operators load, unload, sort, stage, and transport products into and out of a warehouse. They work cooperatively with other associates and productively with little supervision, while following company safety policies and procedures. This role operates sit-down and reach forklifts and uses handheld scanning equipment to support warehouse management system compliance.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• At least 1 year of experience operating sit-down and reach forklifts.
• Ability to move and/or lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically exerting warehouse tasks in an environment that may not be temperature controlled.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background investigation.
• Must be able to work overtime and adjust the schedule as needed.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with RF equipment.
• Warehouse experience in a high-volume environment; food-grade or refrigerated warehouse experience is helpful.
• Familiarity with and ability to use order management systems such as WMS.
• Forklift certification.

Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift safely and efficiently in accordance with company or site-specific safety policies and procedures.
• Load and unload trailers, railcars, and transports to designated areas.
• Check inbound and outbound products to verify items and quantities and confirm there is no damage.
• Use handheld scanners and equipment for warehouse management system compliance.
• Perform daily maintenance inspections of equipment.
• Work cooperatively with other warehouse associates.
• Help keep the facility clean, neat, and orderly.
• Perform additional duties assigned by the supervisor.
