About The Position

Forklift Operators move stock within a warehouse, load and unload shipments, and perform material handling, loose case picking, and loading and unloading duties. Equipment operation makes up approximately 30–90% of the role depending on production peaks; the accountabilities describe using forklifts or other powered equipment for 80% of the specified shift. The environment is team-oriented, fast-paced, and safety-focused. Equipment may include stand-up, sit-down, or clamp forklifts and electric pallet jacks. The position is listed as second shift and is onsite.

Requirements

• Forklift operator certificate or satisfactory completion of a forklift-training program within the first 30 days of employment.
• Six months of forklift operation experience.
• Safe and efficient operation of a forklift.
• Forklift material handling equipment experience is required.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
• Six months of warehouse experience, preferred.
• Experience operating other material handling equipment.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, move, stock, and stage products and materials using forklifts or other powered equipment for 80% of the specified shift.
• Pull and prepare products for shipment, ensuring the correct number and types of products are loaded.
• Keep appropriate inventory accuracy records and reports.
• Comply with OSHA and MSDS standards.
• Verify load accuracy, including count, stability, and product condition, and report variances as needed.
• Change equipment batteries or LP tanks and monitor power sources as needed.
• Keep facility equipment and materials neat, clean, and orderly.
• Assist with physical inventories.
• Complete daily equipment inspections.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
