About The Position

Prysmian is hiring a Forklift Operator to move and stack products and materials safely in a production environment. The role operates a stand-up reach forklift, handles full and empty pallets and other materials, performs routine pre- and post-operation equipment inspections, and identifies when maintenance may be needed. Operators must follow supervisor directions, comply with OSHA-related safety policies and procedures, report unsafe activities, and maintain reliable attendance. The position is based at 910 Elm St, McKinney, Texas, and is scheduled from 6 PM to 6 AM. Overtime opportunities are available and paid at time and a half. Candidates must pass a driven forklift exam and undergo an onsite drug screen.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of stand-up reach forklift experience.
• Experience moving large loads.
• Ability to safely operate a forklift and move full and empty pallets in the work area.
• Ability to perform the listed essential duties and responsibilities.
• Reliable attendance.
• Must pass a driven forklift exam.
• Must be willing to undergo an onsite drug screen.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds while bending, twisting, or standing.
• Comfort with repetitive movement, kneeling, crouching, and stooping.
• Ability to use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.

Responsibilities

• Operate a stand-up reach forklift.
• Move or stack products and materials to specified locations safely.
• Safely move full and empty pallets within the working area.
• Perform routine pre- and post-operation inspections of forklift equipment.
• Stack empty pallets, reels, and similar materials.
• Identify when routine equipment maintenance may be needed.
• Follow OSHA-related safety policies, practices, and procedures.
• Report unsafe activities to a supervisor or the safety team.
• Follow supervisor directions and additional requirements of assigned jobs.
• Maintain consistent and reliable attendance.
