About The Position

As a Forklift Operator at Relogistics, you will move pallets and other materials through warehouse areas to support production requirements and load and unload customer trailers. Depending on the location and needs, you may also hand-sort wooden pallets and repair damaged pallets by hand. The role is described as vital to the success of the Relogistics site.

The position pays $16.00 per hour and is located in Brundridge, Alabama. The listed schedule is 2:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.; the posting gives two different day groupings: Saturday–Monday and Wednesday, and Tuesday–Friday.

The work may involve extreme conditions, including heat, cold, outdoor elements, and airborne particulates. Employees repetitively bend, stoop, walk, turn, pivot, and sit in a forklift during shifts of varying lengths. Noise levels depend on the location. Required PPE includes eye protection and safety shoes, with ear protection mandatory at several locations. The role may require lifting pallets weighing 50 to 75 pounds by hand. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Willingness to work in a labor-intensive environment.

• Use required personal protective equipment, including eye protection and safety shoes; ear protection is mandatory at several locations.

Nice To Haves

• Forklift certification preferred.
• One to three years of forklift experience preferred, but not required.
• Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, lumber, carpentry, welding, roofing, and/or construction is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Move sorted pallet stacks to the appropriate staging area using Relogistics forklift equipment.
• Operate forklifts carefully and follow company safety procedures at all times.
• Hand-sort wooden pallets when required.
• Repair wooden pallets using a nail gun when required.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Move pallets and other materials through warehouse areas to support production requirements.
• Load and unload customer trailers.
