Forklift Operator - Part-Time

About The Position

XPO is hiring a part-time Forklift Operator to sort, handle, load and unload freight on a dock. The role uses motorized and manual equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, and mobile handheld devices to scan and track shipments. Operators secure freight inside trailers and follow company safety policies while working efficiently. The dock is not climate-controlled and may be slippery.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age.
Be able to perform basic math calculations, with and without a calculator.
Be available to work a variety of shifts due to varying freight volumes, including days, evenings, nights and weekends.
Lift freight and other objects of various shapes, sizes and weights, frequently up to 50 pounds and occasionally more than 70 pounds.
Safely walk and stand for extended periods on a loading dock that is not climate-controlled and may be slippery.
Reach (including overhead), bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel as necessary.

Nice To Haves

Dock or warehouse experience in the transportation industry.
Forklift experience in a freight or less-than-truckload (LTL) environment.
Experience loading and unloading trailers.
Strong attention to detail and a desire to succeed.

Responsibilities
