About The Position

Thompson Pipe Group is currently looking for a Forklift Operator. This role involves operating heavy equipment, loading and unloading materials, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. The position requires the ability to drive manual transmission and operate various types of heavy machinery.

Requirements

• Ability to drive manual transmission
• 5 - 10 years industrial heavy equipment operator experience
• Safety operations course by EHS TPG
• OSHA-10 certification
• Operator certification
• Rigging Certification

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment in compliance with the company's operating safety policies.
• Provide recommendations for maintaining and improving environmental standards.
• Load and unload equipment from vehicles.
• Ensure company equipment, material, and the work site are maintained, kept clean, and stored in a safe manner. Collect and dispose of scrap, excess materials, and refuel.
• Complete required paperwork, reporting, and other administrative tasks.
• Operate: Road grader, water truck, dump truck, backhoe, flatbed, excavator, forklift where needed.
• Manage and handle bulk material for production needs.
• Calculate the amount of material needed at all sand/rock bins in order to accurately order the correct amount of material.
• Ability to operate a locomotive switch engine.
