About The Position

Under general supervision, the Forklift Operator ensures the safe and accurate receipt, storage, and shipment of food products using material-handling and radio-frequency equipment. The role includes moving freight throughout the facility, preparing orders for shipment, checking products, and maintaining a clean and orderly work environment. The operator may also perform inventory, cleaning, forklift battery changes, and other duties as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Three months of related work experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to work overtime, evenings, or weekends as assigned and attend meetings as assigned.
• Ability to adhere to attendance policies and arrive on time for assigned shifts.
• Ability to pay close attention to detail and meet deadlines.
• Ability to meet the listed physical, sensory, and environmental requirements of the role.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently load and unload freight using appropriate equipment, and move products to storage throughout the facility.
• Stack and store merchandise; pick and assemble orders for shipment; inspect freight for accuracy, damage, and infestation; and label, sort, wrap, pack, or repack products as directed.
• Operate material-handling equipment and RF scanners in compliance with OSHA standards and in a manner that promotes safety.
• Meet production standards while maintaining a clean and orderly work environment.
• Perform other duties as needed, including inventory, cleaning, and forklift battery changes.
