About The Position

The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating a forklift to stack material, load trailers, and empty full containers throughout the facility efficiently and safely. The operator performs equipment inspections, organizes warehouse materials, coordinates container and trash-bin emptying, monitors equipment condition, and follows required safety policies and procedures. The role reports to a shift supervisor for daily assignments.

Requirements

Complete and pass OSHA forklift (powered industrial truck) certification training requirements under 29 CFR 1910.178.
Have a minimum of 1 year of prior forklift-operation experience.
Have a minimum of 1 year of prior experience working at sites regulated by OSHA.
Demonstrate good customer service skills and act professionally, courteously, cooperatively, honestly, and trustworthily toward customers and coworkers.
Have good time-management skills to complete assigned responsibilities efficiently and safely.
Demonstrate follow-through, adhere to the work schedule, and address challenges as they arise.
Adhere to Company policies and rules, promote Company safety standards, and avoid inappropriate risks.

Responsibilities

Perform pre- and post-operation equipment inspections in accordance with Company policy, ensuring windows, lights, and mirrors are clean and equipment is in proper operating condition.
Report to the shift supervisor for daily work assignments.
Load trailers safely and efficiently.
Organize material in the warehouse.
Coordinate with the supervisor to empty full containers and trash bins throughout the facility during the day.
Continuously monitor equipment condition to ensure operational readiness and minimize downtime.
Follow all required safety policies and procedures.
