About The Position

This contract position for a Forklift Operator is located in Covington, GA, and is expected to last for 6 months. The role operates on the first shift, Tuesday through Saturday, from 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM, with a total of 40 hours per week. The company is in the Medical Devices industry. The operator will use various equipment like forklifts, conveyors, cranes, handcarts, and power trucks to move materials, parts, assemblies, and finished products within a plant, office, or warehouse. The position involves developing skills in basic tasks and procedures within a specific skill area, applying basic knowledge to complete routine tasks, adhering to quality guidelines, and working under general to limited supervision. General computer skills are also required.

Requirements

• 1+ year warehouse experience or related experience and/or training.
• Obtains and/or maintains appropriate licenses / training / certifications, as needed.
• Has basic skills training in an analytical / scientific method or operational process area (e.g., material handling and management, logistics, manufacturing production).
• Effective communication skills at a level co-workers and Team Lead/Supervisor can understand.
• Ability to read, write, interpret and comprehend documents written in English and perform basic math calculations.
• Ability to perform/operate in a metrics-driven environment.
• General computer skills.
• US Citizens or GC Holders or GC EAD or OPT or EAD or CPT

Nice To Haves

• Receiving experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Works within clearly defined SOPs and / or scientific methods and adheres to quality guidelines.
• Works under general to limited supervision.
