About The Position

The Forklift Operator uses forklifts and other material-handling equipment to move materials, parts, assemblies, and finished products within a plant, office, or warehouse. The role may include maintaining records and involves routine tasks performed according to prescribed steps, established SOPs, scientific methods, and quality guidelines. The operator works under general to limited supervision and develops skills in basic tasks and procedures within a process area. A completed forklift questionnaire must be attached when submitting a resume.

This is a three-month position in Covington, Georgia. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., at $17.50 per hour. A drug test is required. A high school diploma or GED is preferred but not required.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of warehouse experience or related experience and/or training.
• Basic skills training in an analytical/scientific method or operational process area, such as material handling and management, logistics, or manufacturing production.
• Effective communication skills sufficient to communicate with coworkers and a Team Lead or Supervisor.
• Ability to read, write, interpret, and comprehend English-language documents and perform basic math calculations.
• Ability to work in a metrics-driven environment.
• General computer skills.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including lifting and/or moving over 50 pounds.
• Drug test required.
