About The Position

The Forklift Operator plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and safe movement of materials within a warehouse or distribution center. This position is responsible for operating sit-down forklifts and material handling equipment to load, unload, and transport goods accurately and promptly. The operator will contribute to maintaining inventory accuracy by assisting with order picking. Safety and compliance with operational procedures are paramount to prevent accidents and damage to products or equipment. Ultimately, the Forklift Operator supports the overall supply chain process by facilitating smooth warehouse operations and timely order fulfillment. This position also requires packing and repacking materials consistently at times.

Requirements

• Proven experience operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely.
• Basic understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management.
• Ability to read and interpret shipping documents.
• Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
• Required skills for sit-down forklifts are essential for daily material movement and load management.
• General warehouse knowledge helps the operator understand workflow and safety requirements, ensuring compliance with operational standards.
• Order picking skills enable the operator to assist in preparing shipments correctly and on time.

Responsibilities
