About The Position

As a Forklift Operator, you’ll move pallets and other materials through different warehouse areas to support production requirements and load and unload customer trailers. Depending on the location, the role may also involve sorting pallets by hand and repairing damaged wooden pallets. This role supports the success of the Relogistics site. The position is based at 6785 SW Enterprize Blvd, Arcadia, FL 34269. The listed schedules are 2nd shift, Tuesday–Friday, 3:00 p.m.–1:00 a.m., or 3rd shift, Saturday–Monday, 5:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. The hourly pay is $17.50.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Willingness to work in a labor-intensive environment.
Ability to communicate effectively.
Willingness to work overtime as needed.
Ability to work in extreme conditions, including exposure to weather elements, heat, cold, and airborne particulates.
Ability to repeatedly bend, stoop, walk, turn, pivot, and sit in a forklift for shifts of varying lengths.
Ability to meet the job’s vision requirements, including close, distance, and color vision.
May be required to lift pallets weighing 50–75 pounds by hand.
Use required personal protective equipment, including eye protection and safety shoes; ear protection is mandatory at several locations.

Nice To Haves

Forklift certification preferred.
One to three years of forklift experience preferred, but not required.
Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, lumber, carpentry, welding, roofing, and/or construction is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Move sorted pallet stacks to the appropriate staging area using Relogistics forklift equipment.
Operate forklifts with extreme care and follow company safety procedures at all times.
Hand-sort wooden pallets when required.
Repair wooden pallets using a nail gun when required.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Load and unload customer trailers.
Support production requirements in warehouse areas.
