About The Position

The 1st Shift Part-Time Forklift Operator I performs a range of warehouse assignments, some of which may require a powered industrial truck (PIT) forklift. Tasks may include building pallets, unloading inbound goods, loading outbound goods, replenishing warehouse pick or Vertique mezzanine areas, and fulfilling customer orders. The operator travels throughout the warehouse pick area to retrieve and stack the products and quantities listed on assigned pick tickets while meeting safety, accuracy, and efficiency expectations. Other duties assigned by Warehouse Management may include pallet stacking, damage restacking or rework, stacking product, and moving pallets with a pallet jack.

Requirements

1–3 years of work experience.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while walking and repetitively lifting 30–75 pounds.
Ability to collaborate in a team environment.
Ability to coordinate and organize efficient, dependable warehouse processes.
Ability to adapt to different work areas throughout the workday and meet the expectations of those areas.
Ability to read and interpret instructions from a computer screen.
Attention to detail and ability to differentiate product packages.
Ability to work in a noisy, non-climate-controlled environment with high and low temperatures.
Self-starter who takes initiative and proactively seeks value-added opportunities.
Flexibility in scheduling; work hours are subject to change based on business demands.

Nice To Haves

PIT (Powered Industrial Truck) certification for pallet jack, single forklift, double forklift, or scrubber.

Responsibilities

Retrieve and place product cases onto pallets according to assigned pick tickets, building stable pallets while meeting safety and accuracy expectations.
Unload inbound products, raw materials, and deposit items, transporting them from the docks to designated warehouse storage areas safely, accurately, and efficiently.
Load outbound products and deposit items by moving them from warehouse storage areas to loading docks and placing them on appropriate trailers safely, accurately, and efficiently.
Replenish warehouse pick and Vertique mezzanine areas by transporting products from storage to assigned locations or bins.
Maintain cleanliness and safety in the work area and warehouse.
Perform pallet building and other tasks requested by management, including damage restacking or rework, stacking products, and moving pallets with a pallet jack when applicable.
Perform other duties as assigned.
