About The Position

The Forklift Mechanic maintains and repairs sit-down forklifts. The role also maintains parts inventory and equipment repair records, completing required paperwork clearly and accurately. The mechanic must work safely, use appropriate protective equipment, and understand Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) practices. The position requires reading and interpreting work orders, safety rules, mechanical and electrical drawings, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

The role operates in a fast-paced airline-services environment. Work schedules may be flexible and adjusted to operational demands such as flight delays, cancellations, and ad hoc needs. Team members must be able to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and adhere to attendance policies.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid U.S. driver's license.
• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to handle stress in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Ability to concentrate on detail and multitask.
• Ability to lift 50–70 pounds.
• Ability to adhere to safety practices and programs.
• Successful completion of the required airport badging process and pre-employment drug screen.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

• One year of previous automotive mechanic experience or technical training in diesel and hydraulics.
