About The Position

Operate industrial trucks, tractors, cranes, manlifts, or forklifts to move materials around a warehouse, storage yard, factory, construction site, or similar location. The position involves loading, unloading, shipping, and receiving warehouse items; optimizing and securing loads; checking product load accuracy; and safely navigating around the warehouse or facility. Duties also include assisting with routine production tasks, moving materials between loading, processing, and storage areas, and arranging sheet metal in the warehouse. The role is based in a manufacturing facility with exposure to humidity, loud noises, dirt, varying and extreme temperatures, sheet metal, and forklift traffic. The employee must be able to perform the essential functions of the position; reasonable accommodations may be made if requested, absent undue hardship. Requirements

Minimum of 6 months of forklift driving experience.
Ability to regularly lift 25–50 pounds.
Ability to stand for 95% of workdays.
Ability to pass a drug test and background check.

Nice To Haves

Forklift driving experience in a warehouse or industrial setting.
Forklift, manlift, or tractor certification.

Responsibilities

Load, unload, ship, and receive warehouse items.
Optimize loads to ensure operational efficiency.
Secure loads to the machine before transportation.
Inspect product loads for accuracy and safely navigate around the warehouse or facility.
Perform routine tasks to assist in production activities.
Manually or mechanically load or unload materials from pallets, skids, platforms, cars, lifting devices, or other transport vehicles.
Operate gasoline- or electric-powered trucks, cars, or tractors to transport materials between loading, processing, and storage areas.
Arrange sheet metal in the warehouse.
