About The Position

Operates a battery- or LPG-powered forklift to move products and equipment throughout the facility for retrieval or storage. Uses an RF display to receive stock placement and retrieval instructions, supplies workers with materials, and handles loading, unloading, and storage tasks. Scans labels and barcodes to assign cartons and pallets to locations, completes routine forklift service forms, and checks pallets and slip sheets for damage or unsafe or improper palletization.

Requirements

Pass written and driving tests administered by the facility to obtain a lift license according to company standards.
Have at least 6 months of work experience as a licensed forklift driver or at least 3 months of service to the company in an entry-level capacity.

Responsibilities

Drive a battery- or LPG-powered forklift to push, pull, lift, stack, or move materials and equipment between facility areas for retrieval or storage.
Operate an RF display to obtain stock placement or retrieval instructions.
Inventory materials on the work floor and supply workers with materials as needed.
Load or unload materials onto or off pallets, skids, cages, trailers, or lifting devices.
Store cartons or pallets in high-bay or reserve storage locations.
Scan labels and barcodes to electronically assign cartons or pallets to locations.
Complete daily forklift service forms for routine maintenance or malfunctions.
Visually inspect pallets and slip sheets for damaged cases, broken pallets, or improperly palletized cases that could create safety or quality issues.
