About The Position

The Forklift Driver operates a sit-down forklift to load and unload truck deliveries and move material to and from storage locations in the distribution center. The role also assists in other greenhouse areas as needed in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The position is primarily in a covered area, but may require working between locations and in an indoor office environment for administrative duties, including use of computers and standard office equipment. The employee must be able to work in outdoor elements, including dust and allergens, and read, write, and understand English.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of forklift experience.
• Knowledge of basic hand and power tools.
• Proficiency operating technical machinery and RF scanners.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.
• Ability to operate machinery necessary within the department and across the facility, including a forklift.
• Ability to lift 35 pounds unaided and 50 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to stand, sit, squat, bend, reach, climb, and twist regularly for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

• Prior inventory experience.
• Computer experience.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload product from delivery trucks.
• Transport materials to different locations within the facility.
• Move material on pallets throughout the greenhouse.
• Stack product in the correct locations according to inventory control instructions.
• Update inventory activity, lists, and records, and log completed tasks.
• Assist other departments as needed.
• Assist with soil production.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
