Forklift Driver - 1st shift

About The Position

The Forklift Driver uses a stand-up reach forklift to move products, equipment, and materials while following regulatory and company safety standards, policies, and procedures. The role handles palletized goods for storage and outbound shipment, records product information using a radio frequency (RF) system, and performs daily equipment checks and battery care. The position may also involve operating other machinery and material-handling equipment.

Requirements

Basic math skills.
Ability to understand instructions in the country's official language or as defined by Lineage Logistics.
Ability to work in temperatures as low as -20°F/-25°C in cold-storage sites or up to 100°F/37°C in dry-storage sites while wearing company-provided personal protective equipment and freezer gear.
Ability to lift a minimum of 40 lbs./18 kg; the weight may be greater depending on the facility.
Ability to work a flexible work schedule and shift, including weekends if needed.
Comfort with varying noise levels, which can sometimes be loud.

Responsibilities

Put away palletized units in rack locations above floor height.
Pick palletized units from rack locations above floor height and prepare them for outbound shipment.
Select and record food-item materials, weights, counts, and condition using an RF system.
Load and unload materials on and off pallets, skids, or lifting devices.
Complete the daily forklift maintenance/check sheet.
Monitor battery charge, maintain and clean batteries, and leave material-handling equipment at the proper charging station.
Work with other machinery and material-handling equipment.
Follow applicable regulatory and company safety standards, policies, and procedures.
