About The Position

This role involves operating a propane-powered industrial truck equipped with lifting devices such as a forklift, boom, lift beam, and elevating platform to move, stack, and transport products and materials. Additionally, the position is responsible for the cleaning and sanitization of totes, drums, and pallets, as well as maintaining work areas.

Requirements

Must be able to speak, read and write in English.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.
Basic knowledge of computers and the ability to input data into a computer.

Responsibilities

Moves levers and presses pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatus.
Positions forks, lifting platform, or other lifting device under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials and transports load to designated area.
Unloads and stacks material by raising and lowering lifting device.
Inventories materials on work floor, and supply workers with materials as needed.
Weighs materials or products and records weight on tags, labels, or production schedules.
Loads or unloads materials onto or off of pallets, skids, or lifting device.
Completes forklift checklist in computer.
Replaces liquefied gas tank.
May be required to load or unload trailers.
Cleans and sanitizes totes, drums, and blue pallets.
Removes all standing water from the rooms using a squeegee or other available cleaning tool.
Cleans designated work areas.
Assists with tote and pallet repairs.
