About The Position

The Forge Helper assists the work unit in the production process. The role requires a basic understanding of forging processes and procedures, the ability to follow directions from the Blacksmith or Supervisor, and attention to part serialization, quality, safety, and equipment care. The employee maintains a safe and organized work area and follows company policies and safety procedures. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent GED.
• At least three months of experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; employment eligibility will be verified at hire.
• Must be able to lawfully obtain access to export-controlled items; employment offers are conditioned on this ability.

Responsibilities

• Assist the work unit in the production process.
• Demonstrate a basic understanding of forging processes and procedures.
• Follow directions from the Blacksmith or Supervisor.
• Keep track of part serialization.
• Maintain a safe and organized work area.
• Show concern for maintaining equipment, including manipulators and furnaces.
• Follow all company policies and safety procedures.
• Ensure parts being worked on are of the highest quality.
