About The Position

The Forge Helper assists the work unit in the production process. The role requires a basic understanding of forging processes and procedures, following directions from the Blacksmith or Supervisor, tracking part serialization, maintaining a safe and organized work area, and helping ensure parts meet the highest quality standards. The Forge Helper is also expected to show concern for maintaining equipment, including manipulators and furnaces, and to follow company policies and safety procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent GED.
• Minimum of three months working in a manufacturing environment.
• Basic understanding of forging processes and procedures.
• Ability to follow directions given by the Blacksmith or Supervisor.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States; employment eligibility verification is required at hire.
• Ability to lawfully obtain access to export-controlled items; employment offers are conditioned upon this ability.

Responsibilities

• Assist the work unit in the production process.
• Follow directions given by the Blacksmith or Supervisor.
• Keep track of part serialization.
• Maintain a safe and organized work area.
• Show concern for maintaining equipment, including manipulators and furnaces.
• Follow company policies and safety procedures.
• Ensure parts being worked on are of the highest quality.
