About The Position

The Foreman is an hourly position and reports to the assigned shift shipping supervisor. A Foreman is a skilled lead responsible for overseeing manufacturing, or other work projects. This role involves coordinating tasks, ensuring safety, and facilitating efficient project execution.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong technical knowledge related to the specific industry or trade.
  • Leadership and team skills, including the ability to motivate and guide workers.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective coordination and problem-solving.
  • Proficiency in using industry-specific tools, equipment, and software.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in the specific industry.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to work in various weather conditions or physically demanding environments.
  • Minimum age: 18
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen and physical.

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant certifications, trade qualifications, or additional education may be preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee tasks and a team of workers, including assigning tasks, and providing guidance.
  • Ensure that team members follow safety protocols and work efficiently.
  • Collaborate with managers or supervisors to allocate resources to meet project goals.
  • Participate in project budgeting and cost control.
  • Coordinate and schedule tasks to meet project deadlines and objectives.
  • Ensure that materials, equipment, and tools are available when needed.
  • Oversee work quality and ensure that projects meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Conduct inspections and address any issues promptly.
  • Promote and enforce safety protocols and practices to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Maintain open and effective communication with managers, supervisors, and team members.
  • Report project progress, issues, and changes to department heads.
  • Identify and resolve project-related issues, conflicts, or obstacles in a timely manner.
  • Provide training and mentorship to team members to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Identify training needs and recommend relevant programs.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
