About The Position

The Cooler Loadout position is responsible for performing various tasks in the dairy department, including operating and maintaining machinery, loading materials, and ensuring a safe and efficient work environment. This role requires physical stamina and the ability to work in extreme temperatures and conditions. The position also involves following instructions, performing basic math, and completing reports.

Requirements

• Minimum age: 18
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to pass drug screen and physical

Nice To Haves

• Previous dairy experience is preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs tasks in the dairy department, including scrubbing pipe fittings and machines, dismantling and reassembling machines, attaching pipes and fittings, dumping ingredients into machine hoppers, starting and stopping machines, loading cartons, and making minor machine adjustments.
• Loads and moves stacks of milk weighing approximately 240 pounds or ice cream racks weighing 1,000 pounds for trailer staging and loading.
• Stacks and un-stacks items weighing 50 pounds from a height of approximately seven feet to the ground continually for the duration of the shift.
• Works in very hot (over 100 degrees) and very cold (below 20 degrees zero) environments, as well as wet and humid conditions for extended periods.
• Keeps the work area safe and clean.
• Works in a safe and efficient manner.
• Follows written and verbal instructions.
• Performs basic mathematics.
• Fills out written daily reports.
