About The Position

The Cooler Technician, reporting to the Cooler Service Supervisor, is responsible for installation, repair, and maintenance of cooler equipment. This role involves significant physical activity, including lifting and moving equipment, and requires interaction with customers. The technician will also be responsible for maintaining company vehicles and ensuring a safe work environment.

Requirements

High School diploma or GED equivalent required
Demonstrated mechanical, technical and electrical aptitude.
Basic computer skills.
Able to work in a team environment.
Self-Motivated
Regularly required to talk or hear.
Frequently required to stand, walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
Must frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds.
Frequently required to move large equipment (up to 900 pounds) with the help of a dolly.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Nice To Haves

Refrigeration/HVAC trade or vocational certification preferred.
Plumbing and/or elector/mechanical experience preferred.
Occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

Responsibilities

Lift and move 50 lbs. multiple times per day.
Move equipment to perform installation, repair or maintenance procedures as needed.
Prepare / set up equipment according to company standards for placement in the trade.
Install equipment in customer locations according to company standards.
Load and unload product from the equipment truck as needed to complete the installation procedure.
Move equipment up or downstairs as needed to complete the installation procedure.
Safely operate company supplied vehicles and maintain vehicles’ cleanliness.
Maintain a clean and safe work area.
Maintain positive customer relations.
Perform any other duties deemed necessary to continue to keep our company successful.
