About The Position

The Foreman at Primoris Energy Services is responsible for leading and supervising a crew of workers on construction projects, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency. This role involves direct oversight of daily operations, adherence to project specifications, and effective communication with project management and team members.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction
  • At least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role
  • Proven ability to read and interpret construction blueprints, schematics, and specifications
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to effectively manage a team and motivate workers
  • Proficient in using various hand and power tools common in construction
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Must be able to work in various weather conditions and physically demanding environments
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record required
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check

Nice To Haves

  • associate's degree or trade certification preferred
  • OSHA 10/30 certification preferred
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of construction workers, ensuring tasks are completed according to plans and schedules.
  • Enforce all company safety policies and procedures, conducting regular safety briefings and hazard assessments.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to ensure accurate execution of work.
  • Monitor progress of work against the project schedule and report any deviations or potential delays to the Project Manager.
  • Allocate tasks to crew members, providing clear instructions and guidance.
  • Inspect work in progress and at completion to ensure quality standards are met and specifications are followed.
  • Operate various construction equipment and machinery as needed.
  • Maintain accurate daily reports, including progress, personnel, equipment, and materials used.
  • Train and mentor new team members on job-specific tasks and safety protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, clients, and other stakeholders.
  • Resolve conflicts or issues that arise among crew members or on the job site.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and care of tools and equipment.
  • Order materials and supplies as needed, coordinating with procurement.
