About The Position

Maguire’s Field Industrial Maintenance & Repair Foreman leads, organizes, and directs a field crew responsible for removing and installing parts on existing elevated water towers. The Foreman trains crew members in the use of safety equipment and procedures, as well as field welding procedures used by Maguire. The role involves extensive travel and is primarily field-based, including work in hot and cold weather and at heights up to 200 feet.

Requirements

Be goal-oriented, reliable, and responsible for one’s actions.
Communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
Be at least 21 years old for driving responsibilities.
Have a valid driver’s license.
Have two years of welding experience.
Pass Maguire’s certified weld test.
Be able to obtain a Medical DOT Certificate.
Have OSHA 10 and CPR certifications, or be able to obtain them.
Adhere to Maguire’s PPE Policy and Safety Programs.
Be able to work at a sustained pace and produce quality work.

Nice To Haves

High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED).
Class A CDL.

Responsibilities

Ensure safety is the number one priority and that work is performed safely.
Ensure performance and safety rigging is installed correctly and checked before each use.
Interpret specifications, drawings, and Maguire prints; communicate print information to others and report discrepancies to project managers.
Examine work pieces for defects, ensure conformance with specifications, and record data as required.
Correct malformations in parts and bends in metal work pieces.
Use painting, cutting, and welding equipment.
Manage time effectively to lead the team to complete work on time.
Motivate and encourage team members to work safely, productively, and with a focus on quality, while keeping the job site safe.
Maintain equipment and service equipment when needed.
Complete daily production paperwork and review crew timecards.
Lead weekly safety toolbox meetings.
Lead in-person customer interactions while performing field work.
Present required documentation to customers and gather their sign-off.
Lead field team assistants and personnel to complete the required scope in a timely manner.
Perform other duties as assigned.
