About The Position

The Foreman, Operations is accountable for the day-to-day coordination, direction, control, and supervision of all activities at the assigned facility. The position coordinates activities in a multi-shift operation and is responsible for safety, operations, efficiency, and security. It leads a larger operations team and may have up to 30 direct reports.

The role typically draws on job-related training and considerable on-the-job experience. It coordinates and supervises others’ daily work, operates autonomously within established procedures and practices, and receives guidance and oversight from a manager. It requires specialized skills to perform assigned tasks.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience required.
• Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.
• Ability to frequently lift, push, or pull up to 60 pounds.
• Ability to climb, stoop, and kneel at heights up to 100 feet.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions and temperatures.
• Ability to work in conditions that may include dust, fumes, moderate noise, and uneven surfaces.

Responsibilities

• Lead the activities of a larger operations team, including tasks, projects, and production plans.
• Hire, organize, direct, control, and evaluate the daily activities of team members within the assigned area of responsibility.
• Facilitate effective communication and follow up on issues requiring attention.
• Ensure efficient use of labor and equipment.
• Coordinate with the Maintenance Department on scheduled and preventive maintenance to support efficient operations and minimize downtime.
• Perform basic resource scheduling activities.
• Coordinate and supervise daily work, with responsibility for up to 30 direct reports.
• Support safety, operations, efficiency, and security at the assigned facility.
