About The Position

The Foreman Civil will lead and supervise construction crews on civil engineering projects for Primoris Energy Services. This role involves ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within budget, adhering to all plans, specifications, and quality standards.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil construction
  • At least 2 years in a supervisory or foreman role
  • Proven experience with heavy civil construction activities such as excavation, grading, pipe laying, concrete work, and utility installation.
  • Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of construction safety regulations, practices, and procedures
  • Ability to effectively lead, motivate, and manage a diverse construction crew.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
  • Ability to operate various heavy equipment safely and efficiently
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to travel to various job sites (43427 APEX region and surrounding areas).
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions and perform physical labor as required.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and supervise daily activities of assigned civil construction crews, including laborers, operators, and other personnel.
  • Interpret and implement civil engineering plans, blueprints, and specifications for various project phases.
  • Monitor and enforce strict adherence to safety protocols, company policies, and OSHA regulations on all job sites.
  • Conduct pre-task planning, safety briefings, and toolbox talks to communicate hazards and control measures.
  • Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project progression.
  • Manage equipment utilization, material procurement, and resource allocation to optimize productivity and minimize waste.
  • Track and document daily progress, including labor hours, equipment usage, material consumption, and project issues.
  • Identify and resolve on-site construction problems, escalating complex issues to appropriate management.
  • Train and mentor crew members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Perform quality control checks to ensure work meets established standards and specifications.
  • Participate in site meetings, contributing to planning and problem-solving discussions.
