About The Position

Ford Motor Company is seeking a Technical leader in Ford Performance to lead the builds and launch and quality plans for both internal and external suppliers to deliver high quality high performance Mustangs. This role involves managing a team of engineers covering Plant Vehicle Teams, prototype build, and supplier technical assistance. The position is responsible for the efficient and timely execution of prototypes, focusing on cost and engineering resources. Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering required or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
• 15 years experience in product vehicle engineering and plant launches.
• Demonstrated problem solving skills.
• Ability to support in plant launch activities and supplier visits out of the state/ internationally (Canada).

Nice To Haves

• Engineering Masters of Science degree or higher.
• Working understanding of Functional requirements, failure mode effects, causes, severity and detection methods (DFMEAs).
• Ability to develop clear working level documents and management presentations.
• Clear/concise communication skills.
• Ability and willingness to travel to both Ford and supplier domestic and foreign locations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute of DCV builds.
• Lead the Ford Racing Production Vehicle Launches for all prebuilds TT to OKTB.
• Coordinate delivery of all Product Development Metric on Launch Score Card.
• Co-Lead the Launch Jira / issues resolution process.
• Coordinate carry-over issues with PVT Managers during launch.
• Lead the PPAP Metrics with Ford Racing Production Vehicle STA Engineer.
• Support the Ford Racing Production Vehicle Body Exterior team in PIST & Fit to Nominal execution to launch standards.
• Ensure quality from the planning to DCV checkpoint to in-plant launch phases through OKTB.
• Continue owning product quality post-OKTB.
• Lead the Vehicle Quality Reviews for Ford Racing monthly at VO plants.
• Lead vehicle line discussion in Ford Racing’s weekly QPSTs and monthly Chief Quality Reviews.
• Report on quality status weekly with daily claims.
• Engage in the monthly roadmap.
• Engage internal Ford Racing Production Vehicle engineers & peers along with external engineering teams to deliver the overall quality targets.
