About The Position

The Foodservice Clerk provides friendly, attentive service to guests while supporting foodservice operations. The role includes taking orders and processing transactions, preparing and delivering food, maintaining product quality and freshness, and keeping work and dining areas organized, clean, and sanitary. The clerk follows food safety and service standards, communicates guest requests to management, cross-trains across foodservice areas, and performs other duties as assigned. Pay starts at $14 per hour.

Requirements

• Friendly, outgoing personality.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds consistently and 50 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to read and understand information and directions.
• Effective communication, guest service, and selling skills.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Communicate politely, warmly, and attentively with guests and co-workers.
• Follow Lowes Foods Service Standards and behavioral expectations.
• Maintain product levels, quality, and freshness using stocking and rotation practices.
• Maintain organizational standards in accordance with 5S/Simplify practices.
• Clean equipment, workspaces, cases, utensils, and other areas as needed to meet sanitation standards.
• Communicate guest requests to management.
• Follow established governmental and company food safety practices.
• Maintain supply and sanitation standards in dining areas, including emptying trash, sweeping floors, and refilling condiments.
• Take guest orders and process transactions.
• Prepare products for sale by expediting, packaging, cutting, slicing, weighing, and pricing.
• Deliver in-store food orders to guests.
• Cross-train in foodservice areas such as order taking, sandwich and salad making, register operation, slicer operation, and order fulfillment.
• Perform front porch duties to maintain the guest arrival standard.
• Announce specials and sale information over the PA system.
• Assist with receiving and storing products.
• Perform other duties assigned by management.
