About The Position

The Deli Clerk provides excellent guest service through deli department activities. The role involves preparing products for sale, maintaining product quality and freshness, keeping work and storage areas clean and sanitary, and supporting receiving and storage. The clerk also communicates with guests and management, announces specials, and helps maintain the guest arrival standard.

Requirements

Friendly, outgoing personality.
Ability to work well with others.
Ability to lift 25 pounds consistently and 50 pounds occasionally.
Ability to read and understand information and directions.
Effective communication, guest service, and selling skills.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Ability to bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

Provide polite, friendly greetings and interactions with all guests.
Prepare products for sale by frying, cutting, slicing, weighing, and pricing them.
Maintain product levels, quality, and freshness.
Maintain sanitation standards in the cooler, freezer, prep area, and sales area.
Communicate guest requests to management.
Communicate temperature breakdowns to a supervisor.
Keep the supply area neat, clean, and tidy.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Perform front porch duties to ensure the guest arrival standard is maintained.
Announce specials and sale information over the PA system.
Assist with product receiving and storage.
