FOOD TRANSPORTER/DELIVERY DRIVER (FULL TIME)

About The Position
Delivers food, supplies, and other products to units and service areas using a vehicle. The role involves collecting and checking requisitioned supplies and completed production orders, loading and unloading deliveries, and ensuring food and equipment are handled in accordance with sanitation and safety standards. The driver is responsible for keeping the assigned vehicle clean and performing routine truck maintenance, while supporting company service standards and providing attentive customer service.
Requirements
- Must have a valid state driver's license.
- Must have a valid food handler's permit where required.
- Operate company vehicles safely in accordance with traffic laws and conditions.
Nice To Haves
- Delivery driver experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Pick up requisitioned supplies from the staging clerk.
- Receive completed production orders and inventory items to confirm each order is complete.
- Load orders onto the truck safely and orderly, with assistance from staging clerks.
- Unload requisitioned materials at delivery sites.
- Follow sanitation and safety guidelines when handling food and equipment.
- Ensure hot and cold food items comply with company standards and sanitation and safety requirements.
- Collect empty containers and rejected or unsold merchandise.
- Maintain the general cleanliness of the assigned vehicle.
- Perform routine maintenance on the truck.
- Interact with coworkers to support company service standards.
- Provide quality customer service through one-on-one attention to detail.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
