About The Position

Morrison Healthcare is hiring a full-time Food Transporter/Delivery Driver at Inova Fairfax Hospital in Falls Church, Virginia. The role delivers food, supplies, and other products to service units and areas using a vehicle. The driver collects requisitioned supplies and completed production orders from the staging clerk, checks orders for completeness, loads and unloads deliveries, and collects empty containers and rejected or unsold merchandise. The position also involves keeping food and equipment sanitary, maintaining required hot and cold food temperatures, keeping the assigned vehicle clean, and performing routine truck maintenance. The driver works with coworkers to meet service standards and provides attentive customer service. The schedule includes shifts from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., and 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.; days may vary and rotating weekends are included. The pay range is $17.95 to $18.25 per hour. A $750 sign-on bonus is offered, with half paid at 30 days and the remainder at 90 days.

Requirements

One year of previous catering delivery experience.
A valid state driver's license.
A valid food handler's permit where required.
Ability to safely operate company vehicles in accordance with traffic laws and conditions.

Responsibilities

Pick up requisitioned supplies from the staging clerk.
Receive completed production orders and inventory items to ensure orders are complete.
Load orders onto the truck safely and orderly, with assistance from staging clerks.
Unload requisitioned materials at delivery sites.
Follow sanitation and safety guidelines when handling food and equipment.
Ensure hot and cold food items comply with company standards and sanitation and safety requirements.
Collect empty containers and rejected or unsold merchandise.
Maintain the general cleanliness of the assigned vehicle.
Perform routine maintenance on the truck.
Work with coworkers to ensure company service standards.
Provide quality customer service through one-on-one attention to detail.
Perform other duties as assigned.
