About The Position

The Food Transporter/Delivery Driver delivers food, supplies, and other products to service units and areas using a vehicle. The position is based at Tennessee Tech University in Cookeville, Tennessee. The schedule may vary based on operational needs. The role is full-time, with a fixed pay rate of $16.00 per hour. Prior delivery experience is a plus. The driver picks up supplies and completed production orders from the staging clerk, inventories orders for completeness, and loads and unloads deliveries safely. The role includes following sanitation and safety guidelines, keeping hot and cold food in compliance with company standards, collecting empty containers and rejected or unsold merchandise, maintaining the assigned vehicle, and providing attentive customer service while working with coworkers to meet service standards. Other duties may be assigned. A valid state driver's license is required, and a valid food handler's permit is required where applicable. The position offers benefits, parking, and free on-shift meals. Because the job supports an educational facility, work may be reduced or paused during school breaks, potentially resulting in unpaid temporary layoff; based on business needs, year-round work may be required, possibly at a different location during breaks.
