About The Position

Day-to-day Food Svc/ Cafeteria Substitutes (On Call-3 hour days) - work day-to- day assignments or reassignments to fill positions due to the absence of the regularly assigned staff. On call position with approximate hours of 10 am to 1:30 pm, No work on holidays or the school summer break. Hourly pay rate: $18.00

Requirements

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
• Demonstrated aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilities
• Must be a positive contributor as a team player
• Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal alien status.

• Bilingualism is a highly desired skill for a position, but not a requirement

Responsibilities

• Performs tasks requiring an ordinary degree of skill in preparation and serving of food as well as other tasks required for the operation and sanitary maintenance of a food service facility or area
• Operates electrical equipment such as mixers, potato peelers, slicing machines, dishwashers, and toasters.
• Cleans tables and other kitchen equipment.
• Collects and washes dishes, silver and cooling utensils, and puts them away.
• Sweeps floor, cleans counters and tables and counter and kitchen equipment, such as food containers, trays, cooking ranges, garbage cans, and refrigerators of food and other supplies.
• Stores foods properly in refrigerators and storeroom.
• Works as a member of a cafeteria staff team.
• Responsible for other general duties as assigned by the School Cafeteria Head Cook
