About The Position

Assist with the daily operation of the BDI-operated McKenney's Cafe, located on the campus of McKenney's Inc. Help provide a safe food service environment that complies with county health codes. The role includes opening and closing duties, customer service, food preparation, order taking, sandwich making, payment processing, stocking, and light cleaning. The position requires a background check and the ability to meet the physical demands described below.

Requirements

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Dependable and flexible.
• Must complete a background check.
• Able to lift up to 30 pounds.
• Able to walk, reach, and bend frequently.
• Able to stand for 3–4 hours at a time.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily cafe operations.
• Help maintain a safe food service environment that follows county health codes.
• Perform opening and closing duties to keep the facility clean and organized.
• Take orders and make sandwiches.
• Handle cash and process payments.
• Prepare food.
• Perform light janitorial duties and wash dishes.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with coworkers and customers.
• Stock food and dry products.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
