About The Position

Food Service Workers support Goodwill’s food service operations at Naval Station Great Lakes by preparing and serving meals to Navy Sailors and recruits. Goodwill operates several cafeterias, where the team prepares and serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The role includes a variety of duties, some involving regular customer contact and others involving less contact. Goodwill provides on-the-job training and support to help employees learn the duties and develop their work skills. Pay is $17.75 per hour.

Requirements

• A qualifying, documented disability.

• Willingness to learn on the job.
• Desire to build work skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform automated dishwashing.
• Check IDs.
• Serve food on the line.
• Attend to a salad bar.
• Clean and bus tables.
