Food Service Worker - Per Diem - Varied Shift - 8hr FPH
About The Position
The Food Service Worker assists with preparing, distributing, and serving meals for patients and employees. Duties include preparing and portioning salads, desserts, beverages, and special patient snacks; setting up and breaking down cafeteria food and supplies for each meal; and serving from the steam table during meal periods. The worker washes and stores dishes and trays, assembles daily nourishment orders, and transports them to patient areas as needed. The role also includes maintaining and cleaning food-preparation equipment, participating in assigned special cleaning projects, following food-handling and sanitation practices, and attending appropriate departmental in-service sessions.
Requirements
- On-the-job training.
- Excellent customer service skills.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Serve Safe Certification preferred.
- HACCP preferred.
Responsibilities
