Food Service Worker - Per Diem - Varied Shift - 8hr FPH
About The Position
The Food Services Worker assists with preparing, distributing, and serving meals for patients and employees. The role includes preparing and portioning salads, desserts, beverages, and special patient snacks; setting up and breaking down cafeteria food and supplies at each meal; and serving at the steam table during meal periods. The worker washes dishes and trays and stores them for future use, assembles daily nourishment orders and transports them to patient areas as needed, and cleans and maintains food-preparation equipment. The position also participates in assigned special cleaning projects, follows appropriate food-handling techniques and sanitation rules, and attends departmental in-service sessions.
Requirements
- On-the-job training.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Serve Safe Certification preferred.
- HACCP preferred.
