About The Position

The Food Service Worker works in the Food & Nutrition Services Department at Texas Health Dallas. This PRN, as-needed role supports cafeteria and patient tray-line service by preparing, delivering, and retrieving patient trays, documenting delivery times, and completing simple records. The worker also routinely cleans and sanitizes equipment, dishes, and cooking utensils, and performs other duties assigned by a supervisor or manager.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Food Handlers Certificate (FHC) required within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Serve food on cafeteria and patient tray lines.
• Assemble, deliver, and retrieve patient trays.
• Document food delivery times and perform simple record keeping.
• Routinely clean and sanitize equipment.
• Wash and sanitize dishes and cooking utensils.
• Perform other job duties as assigned by a supervisor or manager.
