About The Position

The Food Service Worker performs a variety of tasks in a food service operation, including patient tray assembly and delivery, dish area work, salad bar duties, short-order cooking, cafeteria serving, restocking, cash register operation, and cleaning. The position may also be assigned to Coffee Shop or Starbucks areas to perform similar duties. This role is scheduled for evenings, 18 hours per week.

Requirements

• Obtain ANSI-accredited Food Handler Training within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Restock food and small wares according to established par levels.
• Deliver or serve patient and guest meal trays and retail food items accurately and in a timely manner.
• Keep retail and production preparation areas clean and sanitary in accordance with established Public Health District standards.
• Follow food-handling and sanitation guidelines and ensure compliance.
• Prepare food and beverage requests accurately and in a timely manner.
• Complete dishwashing and ware-washing duties as assigned.
• Handle cash accurately for guest tray charges and retail food operations.
• Maintain the dish room, ware-washing area, and tray assembly area in a clean and sanitary manner.
• Limit overproduction to control waste and food costs.
• Work as a grill cook as needed.
