About The Position

This position is located at Natick Soldier Service Center in Natick, Massachusetts. Army NAF Pay setting rules apply to this vacancy. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid. Duties Performs a variety of tasks having several steps or a sequence of tasks that requires attention to work operations in a kitchen or dining area following established procedures. Sets up cafeteria lines, steam-tables, dining room tables, and side service stands with hot and cold food items including meats, vegetables, salads, desserts, bread, butter, and beverages; replenishes as necessary. Serves food by order and proper proportion. Makes cold sandwiches using prepared ingredients. Cleans kitchen equipment such as worktables, sinks and refrigerators and sweeps and mops kitchen floors.

Requirements

  • Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
  • A one-year probationary period may be required.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3.
  • An employer referred pre-employment physical examination is required.
  • Incumbent may be required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally-controlled facilities.
  • Must be physically able to lift, carry, push, pull items up to 40lbs.
  • Must be physically able to stand and walk on a continuous basis.
  • Must be physically able to stoop, reach, push, pull, and bend.
  • Must be physically able to work on ladders and use powered cleaning equipment.
  • Management reserves the right to reassign employees to other facilities.
  • Satisfactory completion of a minimum of 4 hours initial food sanitation and safety training is required within 30 days of employment and a minimum of 4 hours refresher training annually.

  • Ability to understand and follow simple instructions, and be able to use hand tools for cleaning and operating simple machines.
