About The Position

The Food Service Worker II prepares and serves regular and/or special meals to clients and staff. The position maintains appropriate food temperatures, prepares salads and garnishes, assists with basic food preparation or ordering, and distributes food using proper food-handling and sanitation techniques. Duties also include practicing food safety and public health protection, maintaining inventory, tracking receipts, and cleaning, sterilizing, or disinfecting areas and equipment using cleaning products and equipment.

This is an in-office, on-site, part-time position with the Utah Division of Juvenile Justice and Youth Services in West Valley City, Utah. The schedule is listed as part-time indefinitely. A background check is required. The position is not eligible for benefits. The ideal candidate is motivated, enjoys cooking and following recipes, and wants to provide nutritious food to youth. Preference may be given to candidates age 19 or older.
