About The Position

Missouri Baptist Medical Center is seeking Food Service Workers to join their team. This role is crucial in providing quality food service to cafeteria customers, ensuring speed of service and customer courtesy. Responsibilities include food preparation, setting up service areas, portioning and serving food, maintaining sanitation, and assisting with customer requests. The department's mission is to provide nutritionally balanced meals and medical nutrition therapy for patients, staff, and visitors, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals. The hospital itself is an acute care facility in St. Louis County, offering a wide range of medical and surgical services and recognized for its nursing excellence and quality patient care.

Requirements

• Less than 2 years of experience
• No supervisor experience required
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Provides customer service in a professional and friendly manner, and follows food safety and portion guidelines.
• Ensures work area is set up and supplies and products are organized before, during and after shift.
• Cleans and sanitizes work station and utensils.
• Uses equipment and materials properly and safely.
• Accurately assembles meals according to the menu, diet order and correct protocol.
