About The Position
This position is responsible for cooking, baking, and serving meals to clients and staff at the Decker Lake Youth Center. The role involves ensuring food safety and quality, maintaining inventory, and keeping the work area clean and sanitized. The ideal candidate is motivated, enjoys cooking, and is committed to providing nutritious food to youth.
Requirements
- Motivated individual who enjoys cooking, following recipes and providing nutritious food to our youth.
- Must be 19 years of age or older.
- Background Check Required
- Drug Test Required
Responsibilities
- Cooks, bakes, or serves regular and/or special meals to clients and/or staff.
- Ensures that food is maintained at appropriate temperatures.
- Prepares salads and garnishes and assists in basic food preparation or ordering.
- Distributes food using appropriate food handling and sanitation techniques.
- Practices food safety and public health protection.
- Maintains inventory.
- Tracks receipts.
- Cleans, sterilizes and/or disinfects areas and/or equipment.
- Uses cleaning agents, products and equipment.
