FOOD SERVICE WORKER/CASHIER (FULL TIME)
About The Position
Morrison Healthcare is hiring a full-time Food Service Worker/Cashier at Prattville Baptist Hospital in Prattville, Alabama. The position combines cashiering and general food service work while maintaining sanitation standards in food preparation, service, and dining areas. The schedule is 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with days varying and rotating weekends. The pay range is $14.50 to $16.00 per hour. The role involves preparing and serving food, handling customer transactions, keeping work and service areas clean, and following food safety, sanitation, and production standards. The employee serves customers in a friendly and efficient manner, addresses complaints, and shares relevant information with a supervisor. Requirements
- Previous line serving, prep, and stocking experience is required.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions satisfactorily, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients, including washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding fruits and vegetables, and weigh or measure designated ingredients.
- Transport food pans, kettles, and trays between work stations, stoves, and refrigerators in accordance with safety standards.
- Distribute supplies, utensils, and portable equipment.
- Store food according to wrapping, dating, food safety, and rotation procedures.
- Clean work areas, equipment, and utensils, and maintain sanitation and safety requirements.
- Use approved recipes and production standards to ensure quality, serving temperatures, and portion control.
- Serve customers in a friendly and efficient manner according to outlined steps of service.
- Interact with customers, resolve complaints in a service-oriented manner, and relay relevant information to a supervisor.
- Perform sales transactions, accurately enter purchases into the cash register, make change, accept approved forms of payment, and issue receipts.
- Follow procedures for cash refunds and manage assigned change funds and cash receipts in compliance with overage and shortage standards.
- Replenish condiments, beverages, and general supplies while keeping the service area clean.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
