About The Position

Morrison Healthcare is hiring a full-time Cashier/Food Service Worker at MUSC Health Orangeburg in Orangeburg, South Carolina. The role operates the Point of Sale system, assists the Chef, prepares coffee, and maintains clean coffee and cashier stations. It also supports food preparation, catering, retail service, stocking, food-temperature monitoring, and general cleaning. No previous experience is required. The pay range is $14.50 to $15.50 per hour. Open availability is preferred; days and hours may vary.

Responsibilities

• Help prepare foods such as meats, vegetables, baked goods, and desserts, and assist with catering orders.
• Perform cashier duties using the POS system.
• Perform general cleaning duties and remove trash and garbage to designated areas.
• Provide service in all retail areas, including cashiering and line serving.
• Follow cash-handling procedures, maintain cash accuracy with receipts, and make deposits at the end of each shift.
• Inventory and restock supplies and food products.
• Set up the serving line, take and record temperatures, and notify cooks if food temperatures are outside acceptable limits.
• Serve hot and cold items to customers.
• Set up items for purchase daily.
• Keep the refrigerator stocked and rotate products using the first-in, first-out rule.
• Stock pantries daily with correct par levels of food items.
• Record replenished amounts on floor stock forms for each unit.
• Record refrigerator temperatures on floor stock forms daily.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
