About The Position

Morrison Living is hiring full-time and part-time Food Service Utility associates at Indiana Veterans Home in West Lafayette, Indiana. The role maintains kitchen work areas and keeps equipment and utensils clean and orderly. Schedules vary by day, with shifts from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. or 2:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.; additional details are provided during the interview. The pay range is $15.00 to $17.00 per hour.

The position is part of the Morrison Living culinary team and supports hospitality and food service for those served by the organization. Applicants must have prior food service, sanitation, and senior living experience. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis until openings are filled.

Requirements

• Prior food service experience is required.
• Prior sanitation experience is required.
• Prior senior living experience is required.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Sweep and mop floors in compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
• Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other food preparation surfaces.
• Remove trash and place it in designated containers.
• Steam clean or hose out garbage cans.
• Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
• Assist with banquet table and front-of-house setup.
• Assist with loading, unloading, and delivering supplies and products.
• Distribute supplies, utensils, and portable equipment as needed.
• Comply with outlined sanitation and safety requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
