About The Position

This part-time wage position prepares snacks, nourishments, and other food items for resident service and the trayline, and helps maintain sanitation. The technician cleans trays, carts, and other equipment and assists on the trayline as needed. The role delivers patient meals, nourishments, snacks, bag lunches, and food for special functions to various locations accurately and on time. It also retrieves soiled trays and equipment and returns them to Food Services for timely cleaning and storage. The technician drives a Food Service box truck or other hospital vehicle safely and maintains the vehicle's maintenance and sanitary condition. When delivering patient trays, the driver accurately loads trays into the retherm unit for each building and ensures hot and cold food is correctly placed on retherm carts to prevent food loss and delays in patient dining.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record from the last three years.
• Experience driving delivery trucks up to 13 tons GVWR.

• Food Service training with basic knowledge of food service sanitation, safety, and service requirements.

Responsibilities
